What inspired you to specialize in vascular care?

Vascular Surgery was the most innovative of the surgical specialties at the time I was training.  The addition of minimally invasive techniques was starting which allowed an increase in the options for patients.  But, surgical option remained needed. This allowed me to treat patients in a more comprehensive manner.
